About Lefkada Micro Farm

“We are what we eat”
Hippocrates, Father of Medicine

We believe in quality over quantity.

We produce food of the highest standard, first and foremost for ourselves. We use no chemical pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers—a commitment backed by annual lab analysis. Our mission is to produce some of the most flavorful and healthy organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils in the world. Alongside our groves, we grow organic vegetables and fruits exclusively for use in our open-air kitchen.

By combining traditional wisdom with modern cultivation techniques, we maintain absolute respect for the environment. We take our soil seriously, focusing on the regeneration of microbial life and an abundance of essential micro-nutrients. Furthermore, we are proud to be a sustainable operation, using exclusively solar power for our daily activities and our olive harvest.

Our farm is a family legacy. Our grandfather, George, planted this olive grove 100 years ago. After he passed away, the land remained unattended for nearly 30 years—until 2020. That was the year we decided to transform this small farm into a global example of small-scale sustainable farming, inviting the world to be a part of the journey through our interactive experiences.

Our Timeline of Growth:

  • 2021: We welcomed our first international visitors.
  • 2023: We produced our first high-phenolic EVOO.
  • 2025: We received our first international awards for quality (NYIOOC, LIOOC) and joined the Slow Food International farm network.
  • 2026: For the second consecutive year, our Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded for its world-class quality (NYIOOC).

Today, our EVOO is shipped to homes across the globe, and hundreds of international travelers visit our farm every year. We work methodically to keep our plants healthy and thriving; in return, they reward us with food of the highest nutritional value and a superior culinary experience. We aim to inspire our guests to reconnect with nature and embrace the beauty of simple living.

The micro farmer

Hi, I am Andreas Dimitrakopoulos and I grew up in the city of Athens and I hold a BA in Tourism Management. As a lifelong traveler and “foodie,” I initially started farming as a hobby in 2020. I haven’t looked back since. What began as a dream has become the Lefkada Micro Farm, and more importantly, my way of life.
